Hello Aunt Spot, nice to see you again.....NOT!

I was hoping that maybe the only reason I spotted with my last pregnancy was because the baby was sick. Well, I guess I was dead wrong! I started spotting on Thursday night, by Sunday I had enough and went to the ER to get an ultrasound (I will NEVER do that again, but we will save that for another post). The baby looked fine, but was measuring a few days behind. Of course, this worries me because of what happened last time, but the ER doctor and my doctor both said everything looked good. They did find a subchorionic hemorrhage, which is where a pocket of blood develops between the placenta and the uterine lining. This will usually heal itself and it was the reason I was spotting. I go back to my doctor next Monday to make sure everything is still progressing normally. Please pray for a baby that measures at least 8 weeks!
